Privacy Policy

Red Stick Insurance Agency (“we,” “us,” or “the agency”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and in the course of quoting and servicing insurance, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, contact us, or become a client, we collect information such as your name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, vehicle and property information, driving history, driver’s licence number, prior insurance coverage, and — where commercial coverage is involved — business details such as your federal tax identification number, payroll, and revenue.

Information you upload. If you attach a declarations page or other document to a quote request, we store that file against your record so an agent can quote from it. Those files are visible to our licensed staff and to the carriers we submit you to, and to nobody else.

Signing in to the client portal. If you are a client and use the portal to view your policies, we identify you by emailing a one-time code to the address on your policy. We keep that code only until it is used or expires, and we never ask you for it by phone. There is no password to store.

Information we collect automatically. Our website records ordinary technical information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site working and to understand which pages people find useful.

Information from third parties. With your authorization, insurance carriers and reporting agencies may provide us with information used in underwriting, such as motor vehicle records, claims history reports, and credit-based insurance scores where permitted by Louisiana law.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Prepare and deliver insurance quotes
  • Submit applications to insurance carriers on your behalf
  • Issue, service, change, and renew your policies
  • Assist you with claims and answer your questions
  • Meet our legal, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations
  • Contact you about your coverage, renewals, and agency services

How we share your information

We share your information with the insurance carriers, wholesalers, and underwriters needed to quote and place your coverage, and with service providers who support our agency operations under confidentiality obligations. We also disclose information where required by law, regulation, subpoena, or a request from an insurance regulator.

We do not sell your personal information.

Marketing communications

If you give us your phone number or email address, we may contact you about quotes you requested, your existing policies, and agency services. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or calling the agency. We will still contact you about active policies and pending claims, since that communication is part of servicing your coverage.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies needed for the website to function and for basic, aggregated traffic measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.

How we protect your information

We limit access to your information to the people at the agency who need it to do their jobs, and we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents such as full Social Security numbers or driver’s license images through an unsecured web form or email — call us and we will arrange a secure method.

Your choices

You may ask us to review the personal information we hold about you, correct information that is inaccurate, or stop marketing contact. Some information must be retained to satisfy insurance recordkeeping requirements even after a policy ends.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date at the bottom of this page reflects the current version.
